REQUIREMENTS FOR STATE PARTICIPATION
๏ Meet the age requirements as follows:
TEEN – be a minimum age of 14 and under the age of 17 by May 1, 2020
MISS – be of a minimum age of 18 by May 1st and under the age of 27 by December 31, 2020
๏ Be Latin American by birth or ancestry (any parent of relative count for poof of Latin roots) and residing legally in the United States
๏ Be single, born female, never given birth to a child, nor been a parent.
๏ Have an attractive appearance and personality, with weight proportional to height, and a respectable reputation.
๏ Be able to travel abroad and be able to obtain the necessary documents for traveling outside of the United States.
๏ Tattoos cannot be visible during competition or while being the titleholder.
๏ Residency can be proved by any of the following;
• Reside continuously in the US for a minimum of six months prior to May 1, 2020.
• Current residency in the state of representation or current student/work status in the state of representation.
• Born in the state of representation.
English and Spanish are the official languages of the Miss Minnesota Latina Pageant. It is NOT a requirement for contestants to speak Spanish, although it is encouraged. Interviews with judges will be conducted in the language the contestant feels most comfortable speaking.
